Taco Tuesday is famed for it’s wide array of taco you can create and let’s not leave out the Tequila. A good margarita is typically a pair at any restaurant. So let’s dive into this healthy Lettuce Wrap Seasoned Fish Taco recipe so we can add some nourishment to your Taco Tuesday table.

Ingredients

  • White Fish (any kind you have)
  • Olive oil
  • Cumin
  • Chili powder
  • Paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Shredded red cabbage
  • Crumbled queso fresco cheese
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Chopped avocado
  • Sour cream
  • Green leaf lettuce (large outer leaves)

How To Make Lettuce Wrap Seasoned Fish Taco

First, drizzle the olive oil over the fillets, and apply salt and pepper to taste.

Oil used to coat the fish

Second, in a small bowl, combine the paprika, chili powder and cumin. This is the spicy seasoning used for the fish! Spoiler alert!

Seasonings to be combined

Thirds, with the ingredients combined, sprinkle and thoroughly rub the seasonings into the fish fillets. You will do this to both sides of the fillets. While the fillets bake, the seasonings combined with the oil will add a very thin, crunchy coating to the fish.

Coating the fish in seasonings

Bake for 20 minutes on 375 degrees. While the seasoned fish fillets are baking, take this time to prepare the lettuce boat fillings. Begin with shredding the cabbage, chop the tomatoes and avocado, and crumble the queso fresco cheese. When choosing the lettuce, you will want the biggest pieces the green leafy lettuce has to offer.  Once the fish fillets have finished cooking, break them into piece for your lettuce boats. I like to call this my Lettuce Wrap Seasoned Fish Tacos bar. Everything you need for a healthy delicious Taco Tuesday.
